Make Your Own Body Butter – Upcoming Program for Moms

healthy mom healthy baby poster 11x17 2014-04Moisturizing your skin is always more satisfying when you know exactly what you are putting on your body. On June 1 at 2pm, we have an exciting program for moms titled “Healthy Mom, Healthy Baby”, which will show participants how to make their very own body butters from all natural ingredients, which they can then use on themselves and on their babies. This is program will be given by EnviroARTWORX, a fantastic and dynamic company, and at the end of the workshop, everyone will walk away with their very own body butters!

This past winter, we hosted them at the library. Lara and Antoinette showed children how to make their own lip balms; the kids picked if they wanted cherry or mint, vanilla or chocolate. The room smelled fantastic when the program ended, and a lot of parents there were just as interested as the children. When I learned that Lara and Antoinette were developing a program for moms, I knew that we had to have them back.

EnviroARTWORX knows that store-bought body care products often have ingredients that are less than ideal, with preservatives, petrochemicals and other ingredients that you don’t necessarily want on your skin – or your baby’s skin! On June 1, our participants will get to use great natural and scrumptious ingredients that will get their skin feeling soft and healthy.

Tickets for this program are now on sale at the main desk of the library. It is 5$ for library members and 7$ for non-members. We hope to see you there!
