Upcoming Parenting Program: Navigating the School System

navigating the school system poster 11x17 2013-12We are kicking off the new year with a great Parenting Program. Next week, January 14 at 7 pm, the library will be hosting Carrie Goldberg, Executive Director of the Family Resource Center, who will be giving a workshop titled “Navigating the School System: How to Advocate for your Child”.

The school system can be daunting. Carrie Goldberg, who is an experienced social worker, is at the library to help you understand how to work with your school to develop an appropriate educational plan, and how to advocate for your child within the school hierarchy. She will be offering parents tips and strategies to help them ensure that their child is getting the most out of their school experience.
